Welcome to Seaford Lodge

A masonic lodge in Sussex

We are Seaford Lodge

Seaford Lodge was formed in 1902 and is one of the older Lodges in Sussex. Amongst the founding members was a Speaker of the House of Commons along with doctors, lawyers, and surveyors.

The current membership is drawn from a wide range of backgrounds with many of them from the local area, but others travel from further afield. Current occupations include a variety of skilled workers from across the building trade, a furniture store owner, a retired medical consultant & army officer, retired dentist, serving and retired police officers and numerous other professionals. We have a diverse age range of members and almost 50% are still in full time employment. The minimum age for new members is 18.

Seaford Lodge is a very sociable lodge. We hold several social events throughout the year to which partners and friends are invited, these include but not limited to a formal dinner in February, a Ladies Festival, normally in June and a Summer Garden Party in July. The Ladies’ Festival can take different forms - in the past we have had a weekend away at various locations. This is a two-night stay in a hotel with a gala dinner on the Saturday night. In other years we have held a dinner on a Saturday night at various venues in Sussex. The Garden Party takes place at a members’ house in Seaford. As well as being great social occasions these events help to raise money for Seaford Lodge’s chosen charity for the year.

As a lodge member you will benefit from the opportunity for forming new friendships, camaraderie and socialising in convivial and safe surroundings, whilst at the same time contributing to those within our communities who, for whatever reason, are less fortunate than us.
